HEART stands for Home Education Association Rutherford Tennessee and is a volunteer organization comprised of families who choose to home educate their children. Presently, our membership is comprised of approximately 300 families, and is the largest known organization in the county. Our purpose is to provide a means of support for home educating families that have a common goal.

The purpose of HEART is to provide a means of support and contact for home educating families that have a common goal. We cooperate to provide numerous activities throughout each month. In addition to those activities, HEART has a monthly newsletter, and directory available to its membership.

The HEART Board of Directors is comprised of a group of husband and wife teams that home educate their children. The Board is elected by the membership annually, and meets several times through the year.
